HPV Vaccine Accessibility

It is very clear to us that we want to increase accessibility, affordability and availability of the HPV vaccine to be able to prevent HPV associated cancers.
We have joined hands with Researchers on health and gender policy, founders of organisation regarding personalised reproductive and sexual health support for individuals and marginalised communities, and members of the community that are passionate about health policies and the prevention of HPV related cancer.
We support the idea that the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) should cover pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) for HIV prevention, we uphold that it should include coverage for the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine at any age when recommended by a doctor, it should provide coverage for other vaccines related to sexually transmitted infections; and it should include take-home cervical cancer test kits as part of OHIP-covered services.
